Revan and I did our PADI Open Water certification dives at Cisco Beach, Bear Lake Utah.
Our local dive shop was Dive Magic out of Boise Idaho. Dive Magic is a great outfit and really made the certification process fun, while at the same time it was professional and geared to make sure we became safe divers. Thanks Dan!
Since these were our first open water dives, we had a blast.
Perfect diving conditions. Water temps so cold we had to wear full 7 mil wetsuits, gloves and hoods with visibility less than 10 feet!
Where's my buddy?? Where's my buddy??
We added rope to our dive kits after these dives. When you can't
see your buddy when he is 8 feet away, rope is the answer.
Since Bear Lake is at 5900 ft elevation, we had to adjust for the
altitude.
Still, we were so jazzed to finally be diving we really had a
great time.
